"ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM PAOLO GIOVIO" - COMO

The collections, at the beginning of the 1900s, were made up of very heterogeneous materials.

Archaeological Museum "Paolo Giovio"
The section dedicated to 19th century archaeological collecting presents finds from different cultures acquired mostly thanks to the legacy of an important Como collector, Alfonso Garovaglio. This section currently displays the Egyptian collection, Greek and Magna Graecia vases, bronzes, gems, as well as the prehistoric collection of I. Regazzoni.
